Thank you Keith. I have just read your essay and I want to record my admiration on multiple levels. Yours is a well constructed narrative and argument. You speak clearly and economically about a vast and important network of patterns, practices, and histories. I am sorry that I am only now reading your essay. If I get a chance to teach it again, I will share your piece with my students in the seminar "Contesting Culture as Property." It articulates (as I think you intended) with a wide range of concerns and projects in my world, from common pool resource questions to open access scholarly communications work. Thanks again!
